Today's theory: making snowballs is a deep-seated instinct

I was clearing the car this morning, and made a snowball without really thinking about it. I realised I had nothing productive to do with it (although I almost threw it at a random nearby car, but grown-up-ness intervened).

Driving along, we passed a girl on her way to school, holding a large snowball in her arms, just walking. A minute later, we passed a paperboy on his bike, with his paperbag slung over his shoulder, one hand on the handlebars, and the other holding a snowball.

And now, I'm fighting the urge to go out into the quad and beat the students to building a snowman.
