The highlight of this morning...
Nov. 5th, 2003 01:26 pm...was one of my lecturers breaking into the theme tune to the Pink Panther cartoon ('rinky-dink panther... panther pink from head to toe' are the only bits I can remember) and then segueing into the theme tune to Top Cat.
Well, the comedy highlight, anyway. There were more literary highlights to do with textual analysis of Paul Muldoon's 'Yarrow', in which almost every word is a reference to something-or-other, and finding the references is a delight. I want to sit here and re-read it while constructing a complicated three(or possibly more)-dimensional brainstorm diagram (with pockets for books and screens displaying websites, and similar methods of including extra-textual references).
Sadly, I can't. Not this afternoon, because apparently they expect me to do some work for the money they pay me, and not this evening, because I have to make a start on another essay. I shall entertain myself by fantasising about my complicated diagram while turning the text from a Quark document into intranet pages ;-)
