... But do they come in groups of three attached to one particular person? Or are the groups of three allowed to attach to, say, two people?

What if smiorgan and I shared one bad thing, then had another each? Would that count? Or would that simply be two bad things each, with another one each to come?

Not sure about that. I think it depends on whether you attach any importance to each other's bad thing (as it were).

Good weekend, bad morning. But only the sort that often occurs on a Monday morning when you've had a busy and drunken weekend ;-)

So unless threes are allowed to dramatically change their level of seriousness mid-way through a set, I think we're OK ;-)

A Bad Thing shared by you and smiorgan is only one Bad Thing. Specifically, a trouble shared is a trouble halved, so you only have half a trouble each :)
