I've been reading my friends of friends page. Some of the people on it I've encountered before, posting comments in the journals of our mutual friends. Some of them I recognise without knowing where from, others I've seen in other corners of LJ on my periodic excursions. Some I can't even guess which of my friends they're friends with, and some I'm surprised I haven't seen yet, because I know they're only two friends links away from me, and I somehow expect them to be prolific. Maybe they're lost in the general mass.

I'm reminded of the LJ degrees of separation toy I played with a while back, which, even after a few goes at 'Find random user' never needed more than six Friends links to get back to me. (Incidentally, I was looking for the URL for it yesterday, and couldn't find it. If anyone knows where it is, I'd appreciate the link.)

So, friends of friends. Some of them are fascinating, but there are so many that it's hard to keep track, and I've not been reading them long enough to develop favourites among them yet. I'm hoping to find some new and exciting people to add to my own friends list.

Hmm. Enough musing. Time for some more work.

You may well find that one or two of them are refugees from my friends list.

I try and try to keep it down, but it won't stand for any of it.

And to think I just removed a baker's dozen of people from my list to try and keep things manageable :)

I like my friends list though. There's a lot of really spectacularly interesting people out there - gotta catch 'em all!

You arent the only one who does friends of friends... I'm mostly trying to figure out if I know people so I can update my friends lists. I do occasionally read for a bit before moving on though ;)
