1. If you could talk to any book author (including the dead ones) who
would you choose and what would you ask ?
At the moment, Kathy Acker, and the questions would include 'What the hell is Blood and Guts in High School all about? And what were you taking while you were writing it? And would you like me to buy you a book on how to write plot and character and stuff?'
2. What feature would your ideal house have to have ?
Easy: private beach access (and not onto the North Sea or anything daft/cold/windy like that). Does that count as a feature of the house? If not... secret passages are good. And towers. And libraries, of course, but it feels a bit like cheating to ask for a feature that I have in my current far-from-ideal house.
I'm just going to stick with the beach, actually.
3. Which film (planned but not out) are you most looking forward to ?
His Dark Materials. Although I'm not sure how good I'm expecting it to be. Or how much it's definitely happening, actually.
4. If you could change one thing about your life during your time at university what would it be ?
I'd take more advantage of the being a student/living in college/'Oxford experience' stuff, cos I didn't get to do it for as long as I planned to, and so didn't properly appreciate it at the time. Anything more major and more personal, of the sort that you might expect me to say in response to that question, is the sort of stuff that got me to here-and-now, so I can't regret it even if I otherwise would, because life at the moment is pretty cool.
5. What flavour icecream ?
Vanilla if it's good, and has had a deep and fulfilling relationship with actual vanilla pods. Otherwise, some sort of vanilla-with-chocolatey-bits flavour. Or, y'know, pretty much any icecream (it's my favourite sweet food).
Anyone who wants 5 questions of their very own, leave a comment, and I'll come up with some.
