Distractions

On the other side of the part of the office I'm in, someone is playing a CD at that really annoying volume which means I can hear it playing, but not what it is. On my side of the neighbouring part of the office, someone is playing the radio at approximately the same volume. It's driving me up the wall. Not least cos I don't have speakers on my pooter, so can't join in the war.

One of my colleagues started singing various show tunes towards the end of the week. I think someone finally cracked during his rendition of 'You make me feel like a natural woman...'.
Just a thought that crossed my tiny mind.

Do you have access to headphones? You could pointedly ask to borrow some...

Yeah, some of my colleagues sing, too, but it's the kind of office where it's perfectly OK to take the piss and tell them to shut up ;-) Especially if it's the theme tune to the Noddy TV programme, which appears occasionally.
