Tagged by [livejournal.com profile] frax, who perhaps doesn't know my stance on favourite things. The thing is, even if I could come up with a definitive favourite now, there's no reason (for anyone, me included) to assume it'll still be my favourite this afternoon, let alone next week. And I usually can't even come up with a favourite for now, because there are so many of them for most categories of thing. So take all of these answers with lots of salt. The actors particularly, 'cos I'm rubbish at remembering them off the top of my head.

  1. Favourite scent: vanilla, coffee or whisky. Yes, that includes two things I like the smell of but not the taste (if only coffee tasted the same as it smells).
  2. Favourite way to relax: swimming in the sea
  3. Favourite movie you own: this is one of those impossible questions. The movie I own that I've watched the most is probably Bring it on, but it's only a favourite
  4. Favourite movie you don't already own: 'nother impossible question.
  5. Favourite male movie stars: Rupert Everett, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt (when he's being weird, not when he's being pretty), Paul Bettany
  6. Favourite female movie stars: Christina Ricci, Julianne Moore, Kirsten Dunst, Janeane Garofalo
  7. Favourite book genre: magic realism, possibly. Or lit fic. Or quirky fantasy. Or the really obvious one I can't quite lay my finger on atm.
  8. Favourite clothing store: Monsoon
  9. Favourite non-clothing store: at the moment, Blackwells' main store in Oxford. It's not the best bookshop for the type of books I buy (fiction, mostly), but I recently remembered the sheer wonder of walking into the Norrington Room for the first time, so it's currently holding the crown.
  10. Favourite cartoon character: Daria
  11. Favourite CD you own: Little Earthquakes. That's the 'canonical' answer, rather than one which is always true.
  12. Favourite CD you don't already own: no idea. I don't think there are many CDs I know well enough to claim as a favourite without either [livejournal.com profile] smiorgan or me owning them. So I should probably choose my favourite of his CDs for this question, but it feels like cheating, and with the ones we both like, it's often hard to tell which of us they actually belong to. Pass.
  13. Pass the torch and tag five of your LJ friends! Tagging is silly. Anyone who wants to do it should consider themselves tagged by me.

Very much with you on this one. Dawn has some fantastic smelling coffees, but they taste very bad indeed.

Not when put into cakes/ice cream - then coffee can be really nice.

It only goes to show what cream and sugar can do for bad food.
