Car is broken. Cost of fixing car several times value of car. Can't quite do without car. Buying replacement car very expensive.

Parents selfishly insured cars with special old people insurance, can't borrow car because am not old. Unused parental car remains unused.

In similar boat (car?). Car is broken. Have second car. Second car not big enough for family. Cost of fixing car may turn out to be several times value of car, but is certainly several times the amount of money currently in checking account.
