Working working working

Hunting in my (work) desk drawer for some post-it notes just now, I came across this gem. It's definitely my handwriting, but I've no idea when I wrote it or what about. It was at the back of the drawer, so it could be months, or it could be days.

In other news, through a complicated combination of annual leave, study leave, unpaid leave, bank holidays, concessionary days, and my regular student days, I have wangled two solid weeks off work in which to actually write the damned dissertation. I've spent the weeks since Christmas doing a lot of background work, a lot of preparation, reading, note making and so on, but the time is coming* where I should just get on with actually writing the thing, and I'm having great trouble doing so. In theory, not having to go to work at the same time will facillitate this.

*Or possibly 'the time has passed...'

Maybe it's a post-it from the future, and you left it there in order to give yourself a laugh? My random post-its tend to say things like "78204!!!" - I've learnt not to worry about whatever it is that I haven't done.

Your subconscious knows better than you do when the last possible moment is to get your sh*t together and write it.

I think you should get a red biro and cross out "make list", then write underneath "write dissertation".
