Lyrics question (long shot)
Mar. 15th, 2008 11:44 amSometimes my brain produces random songs to play at me when I wake up. This morning it didn't manage a whole song, just one line:
"She said 'hi', I said 'yeah, I think I am'"
I can't remember anything else of the song, and Google doesn't seem to know either. I think it might be parent-music - that would explain the feeling that I've heard it a lot, but not for a long time. Anyone got any ideas?

Date: 2008-03-15 12:48 pm (UTC)This line is definitely a lyric, not a line from a standup comedian or something?
Also, shouldn't that be: parent!music (in the best traditions of the interwebnet)? ;-)

Where forward-slashes are either pauses or the preceding note is double-length (I'm not sure), underscores are the lowest notes, hyphens are the middle and the apostrophe is the highest (representing the second syllable of 'am'; all other words have the normal amount of syllables). I wouldn't swear that all notes with the same symbol are the same - this is more a representation of their relationship to each other than their absolute value, IYSWIM.

Date: 2008-03-15 06:21 pm (UTC)She was a jewish girl. I fell in love with her.
She wrote her number on the back of my hand.
I called her up, I was all out of breath, I said,
"come hear me play in my rock and roll band.
I took a shower and I put on my best blue jeans.
I picked her up in my new vw van.
She wore a peasant blouse with nothing underneath.
I said, "hi". she said, "yeah, I guess I am."
