Huge sigh of relief
Jan. 24th, 2003 06:35 pmI received the password to allow me to use the online tax return submission service. I used the online tax return submission service. It was much quicker and easier than the paper form I made a mess of at the weekend. It told me how much tax I had to pay (and unlike me, it didn't forget personal allowances). I went to my online banking site, and transferred some money from an ISA into a current account. I went back to the Inland Revenue site, and paid my tax bill using my Switch card. It took about fifteen minutes in total. Now I don't have to worry about it until this time next year.
So,
lathany, I say 'hah!' to you. It *does* work.
<pause>
Although maybe I shouldn't say such things in case of jinxing myself. Done now, anyway. And quite painless, too.
