Today's theory mark 2: the cats are evolving

We already have two duvet-hogs in our house. We both regularly wake up, push the other, re-cover ourselves with duvet, and go back to sleep.

This morning, mysteriously, neither of us had enough duvet. There was a cat, lying between us, evidently building a fort. She was quite insistent.
