We spent most of the morning unloading boxes. It didn't take as long as loading them had, but we were pretty knackered by the time we'd finished. The new house - ten minutes walk away from the house of the Friend Stealing Fiancee - is nice. Large rooms, shockingly cheap compared to prices here.

Lunch was at the Milestone, a pub ten minutes walk from the FSF's house. Everything in Ipswich seems to be ten minutes walk. I wonder if everything in the world is. The street parallel to the street the FSF lives on is called Oxford Road. I have a theory about such roads - that they contain a secret way to the town they are named for, and that if I could find an Ipswich Road here, and work out the correct ritual, I would be able to visit the Stolen Friend much more quickly.

The Stolen and the Stealer are thinking of getting married in a castle. A particular castle, which we visited on Saturday afternoon. It was a fine castle - almost entirely intact, with one of English Heritage's fine new free audio tours, and a rather magificent spiral staircase around the outside of the tower, and rooms built into the walls. A fine castle, but a poor wedding venue, I suspect. Drunken guests would fall to their deaths.

Mexican food, in a cheerful and colourful restaurant, ten minutes walk from the house ;-) Good company - us, them, and friends and housemates of the Stealer. Good food - many starters, and many dips. Beer.

The best pub in Suffolk, and one of the best pubs I've ever been to. Things on tap that would surprise and delight in bottles in a more normal pub. Vast array of ales, lagers and fruit wines. Mead :-) We made a joke - 'like mead without the honey', for people who are thick and alcholic. We were drunk, and happy.
