Talking of The Gibbon...

... I noticed this weekend that, while I generally think of The Gibbon not as 'The Gibbon', or as 'Chrestomancy', but as his actual first name, I do think of the bike-riding part of him as The Gibbon. I was telling the tale of my weekend to a friend last night, mentioned the seeing of <insert The Gibbon's real name here>, and then mentioned the seeing of 'The Gibbon's shiny new motorbike'. I theorise that this is because all my knowledge of The Gibbon's bike is from his Livejournal, and that my real life conversations with him have hardly touched on it at all. This is pretty strange. I think he's the only person I see both on LJ and in real life that I do this with. People I only see on LJ are different - they're mostly people I don't know even a little bit in real life, and often I don't even know their real names.

The Gibbon does not know what you mean. This Martin bloke is an entirely different person. Martin has no livejournal, and just hassles The Gibbon to let him post on other people's from time to time.

Well, it was definitely Martin who showed me the bike, and he definitely claimed it was his. Does The Gibbon know that he's doing this?

You can stop thinking about it, certainly, but I do think The Gibbon's security is rather lax if this Martin imposter-bloke is allowed to get away with claiming to own The Gibbon's bananabike.

Yes, "Martin" seems like a pretty bad sort to me. Maybe The Gibbon should stay away from such disruptive influences.
