The cat returns

Yes, I meant to spell that with a 'c'. As well as being (spelt with a 'K') the cause of great delight among various Oxfordites, The cat returns is a Studio Ghibli film I watched last night with secretrebel, zandev, _yakumo_, ao_lai, various non Lj-ers and the almost-titular killalla. At least two of us are now in love with the Baron Humbert Von Jikkingen, and I have a lovely cheerful summery wallpaper of Haru lying in the grass on both my main computers. Oh, and we have a visiting kauket tonight. Hooray for stuff!

Oooh. I've just seen Spirited Away and I want more Studio Ghibli. Was it on video?

(I'm told 'Kiki's Delivery Service' is very good as well.)

Not on video, sadly.

You should see more of them! All the ones I've seen have been wonderful (apart from Porco Rosso, and that was just 'cos I don't like pigs ;-) - Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbour Totoro are my particular favourites. Oh, and Whispers of the Heart... and, actually, all of them ;-)

Not sure. Maybe there's too much of us to fit in one person? Or maybe we each need someone to talk to when there's no one else around, or about stuff everyone else thinks is crazy.

I think I have a bit of a crush on you, Baron -

And why not? The Baron is, after all just that cool, and combines the best traits of the classic late 19th/ early 20th century gentleman hero with the voice of the classic Japanese samurai hero. He can beat down the bad guys using only his walking stick, and no matter how great the danger, he never loses his immaculate dress sense. I really need to find a way to see Whispers of the Heart, now -
