GIP etc

I've spent part of today making a wedding icon. So, thanks for the offers, onebyone and naranek, but I've changed my mind about using a photo of my ring.

The white thing is supposed to be a cake, but I got bored before making it look cake-like, so it just looks like a pedestal. Never mind ;-)

Other things I have done this weekend:

• Successfully identified three of verlaine's party guests from their LJ icons
• Mounted three experiments with onebyone, which concluded, respectively, that more than nine people can fit into kauket and bluedevi's bathroom, secretrebel merely looks confused when a bunch of people start stroking her and verlaine is not gullible enough to believe me when I tell him I know the rules to the Buffy board game (it was something like 'roll a d6, count that number round the table, and punch the resulting person on the nose')
• Seen cuthbertcross and her attached non-LJ-user, and talked about lots of other things as well as weddings
• Discovered that I've almost entirely forgotten how to play Soul Caliber, and that no one else remembers me ever playing it at all. Perhaps I dreamt the whole thing.

I remember you used to be pretty good at Soul Calibur, although that was back at Milliways in (sep/oct) 1999, when it first arrived on the DC. So about 4 years ago ;-P

So I didn't imagine it! That's good news. Both smiorgan and secretrebel were surprised at the thought of me wanting to play it.

I gather from smiorgan's LJ that you're trying to play Ivy ? That would explain apparent rustiness - she's pretty tough to play well. In fact I can't really imagine pulling off a Summon Suffering without the aid of an arcadestick...

Nah, I was just messing about with her at the point he was writing the edit. I like her, but can't play her at all (never got the hang of her sword, and the button combos never seem to have the same results twice ;-) I'm mostly playing Taki, who's slightly less cool, but much more fun. Not least because I can get her to actually do stuff.

the colour on the picture looks great - and it did when you tried simiialr ones on in that lovely shop : )

we did not go to a wedding fair without you, we were shopping for an outfit for me to wear on Friday and we happend to go past this wedding fair.

In fact we only saw this one dress - went and gushed and got their website details, then went home cos A was dying of shopping exhaustion !!!

V Nice dresses, V expensive too and v v nice shoes and bags!!
