"Perhaps Macintosh owners are collectively suffering from Stockholm Syndrome"

Date: 2003-10-20 03:28 am (UTC)Yesterday I installed the new Windows version of Apple's iTunes music player.
Microsoft sort of have a point in that it is extremely proprietary as it only really supports basic mp3 and Apple's own version of AAC. However, the hypocricy of Microsoft complaining about monopolistic behaviour doesn't really need further comment.
On the plus side iTunes really is very slick. It's certainly the easiest to use music player I've yet found for Windows. It is striking how much simpler (but still functional) the user interface is compared to the other music players that I've tried.
