secretrebel made me an icon! I'm a bit scared of it, with the big-eyed-stare, but it's exciting 'cos no one's ever made me an icon before ;-)

Today, we've had a multi-parental conference. Between them, they've offered us a substantial amount of money and a honeymoon, approved of some of our choices and ideas about the wedding (including the venue) and disapproved of others (including some of my dress ideas, annoyingly but irrelevantly).

The rules seem to be more complicated when it's all of them at once. There was one thing I mentioned casually, almost as a joke, and the mothers both reacted with horror and said I couldn't possibly, which does indeed now make me want to do it, where I didn't reallly want to before ;-)

But other things need more work - they don't seem to have understood the complicated rules involved, and weren't at all surprised and disapproving of things I expected them to be, and objected strongly to things I had no idea they'd even have an opinion on!
