I'm getting married in September (yes, you all knew that already, because I go on about it all the time). I'm able to do this because the person with whom I want to spend the rest of my life happens to have genitals that are shaped differently from mine. Our wedding guests will include people in relationships just as committed and long-term as ours, who are not able to get married because their genitals happen to be the same shape. This saddens me, and, contrary to the claims of those who oppose equality in marriage, it weakens the whole institution for me.

And this whole, Gay people can't get married thing is based on marriage being a Christian ceremony and tradition in this country. But that argument doesn't stand up, cos a lot of weddings now, yours included, aren't allowed to have any religious content at all. How does that make any sense at all?
